Selected Concepts of Quantum State Tomography

Quantum state tomography (QST) refers to any method that allows one reconstruct the accurate representation of a quantum system based on data obtainable from an experiment. In this paper, we concentrate theoretical methods tomography, but some significant experimental results are also presented. Due considerable body literature and intensive ongoing research activity in field QST, overview is restricted presenting selected ideas, methods, results. First, discuss pure states by distinguishing two aspects—complex vector reconstruction wavefunction measurement. Then, move Wigner function reconstruction. Finally, core section article devoted stroboscopic which provides optimal criteria for recovery including dynamics scheme. Throughout pay particular attention photonic since multiple protocols optics require well-defined light.
